Baccarat is a gambling card game, which is rapidly gaining popularity. It can be found in almost all casinos. Baccarat is also found on gambling web resources. Interestingly, Agent 007 in Casino Royale fought the main villain in this type of card game. The winnings here depend solely on luck, so any strategy is ineffective.

The basic rules

Baccarat requires two packs of cards. They are shuffled by one of the players. The cards are then dealt to the dealer (banker) who does the same with them. He can place a few cards underneath the bottom of the deck. It is not necessary to warn the players about it. The seating at the table is arbitrary. The number of players is not limited. Each participant has the right to leave the table whenever he wants. A new player joins the table at waist time, which requires the dealer’s permission.

After the deck is shuffled, the banker grants one of the participants the right to remove the top. The first hand is dealt from left to right. Each participant receives one card. The dealer also keeps one card for himself. The order of the second deal changes (from right to left). Each participant, including the banker, gets another card.

Betting and combinations

Baccarat has no fixed betting limits. You place as much money as you think you need. The dealer doubles each bet. After the hand is dealt and the total pot is formed, the winning combinations are checked. Notably, the dealer’s cards prevail. If the banker and the player have the same winning combination, the banker takes the money.

There are three winning combinations in baccarat:

  • with 9 on the end (9, 19, 29);
  • 8 at the end (8, 18, 28);
  • 7 at the end (7, 17, 27).

Combinations with 6 on the end are also quoted, but almost never win. The number of points corresponds to the numbers on the cards. All ranks from Jack to Ace are valued at 10. If the dealer has a 9 or 19 after the hand, he opens and takes the players’ bets. If the dealer has a combination of 8 or 18 and one of the players has a 9 or 19, the banker pays out the winnings to this player only. Remaining bets go to the dealer.

Order of the buy-in

If there are no winning combinations, but you can still collect them, baccarat gives you the option of making a buyout. All players, including the dealer, can use it. The procedure is regulated. Initially, the right of redemption is given to the participant on the right of the dealer. Then the player to the left of the dealer gets the right hand, then the next player to the right of the dealer and so on. Only one card at a time is drawn.

After the completion of the buyout the players are declared open. According to the counting of points a lucky player is determined who takes the sum of money staked. If there is more than one winner (apart from the dealer), the money (or chips) is distributed in equal shares. Under the rules of the game, the dealer can’t send the pot to another competitor after the time or waist is up. The players also have no right to make this condition.

Baccarat is thus an exciting card game based on luck. It has many similarities with Black Jack, but differs in the strictly set winning combinations. Gradually, the number of baccarat players is increasing, as the game is very exciting and competitive.
